399 Spoons

Our team is made up of students and adults from Antioch Community Church of MPLS and Lake Community Church of Alexandria MN. It's a cool mix of relationships and it's been pressing us country folk to come face to face with our own inadequacy and multiple needs of the city. Even when were driving we see things that intimidate our students from praying and pressing into the heart of God.

Psalm 10 reads... 17 O LORD, you hear the desire of the afflicted; you will strengthen their heart; you will incline your ear 18 to do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed, so that man who is of the earth may strike terror no more.

We are all simply trying to hear the stories of people that we are here to serve, but even so our own stories as we are all broken, hurting, and often without strength. We are looking out for the fatherless and oppressed and hope to provide a direct link to the church and the gospel today when we minister at Pillsbury Elementary. But even still our hearts are all being daily mended by the Lord as we apply His new mercy every morning.

Just last night we were in a conversation with someone that came through a season of life when he was in bondage to pornography, and many of our students prayed and encouraged this young man. It was a powerful time of just being in the presence of the Lord together. We also were able to include a middle school girl from MPLS, with our team who actually served with us. Our young women did a great job including her and will spend more time with her today and tomorrow.

Continue to pray that we'd all seek His will for our time together, and begging Building dreams to bring and apply things back home. Pray more for the hearts of the other bumpers and people they minister to, and that the afflicted, hopeless, oppressed would find real identity in Jesus.
