Hello From The Twin Cities!
Today was our first day of VBS at our site at Payne Ave. Church. Our team had a great time today starting off together with all the other BUMPers at the Rally in the morning and then we headed off later on to get ready for Vacation Bible School and to do some prayer walking around the neighborhood. We went around passing out flyers and even got to pray for some people in the neighborhood. Some kids were really excited to see our bright orange shirts and were getting pumped up for BUMP Week.
For our first day we had about 25 kids come. It was great seeing all of the kids and seeing our team pour out the love of Jesus all over them. There was one girl who was really having a hard time in the beginning but thanks to one of our BUMPers and God using her to love this little girl, the girl was smiling and having a great time by the end of the evening. Not only that, but we were able to really get personal with the kids by either meeting their parents at pick up time, or when we walked them home at the end of the evening. We are excited to see what God does this week and are thankful for the privilege of getting to serve Him in this way.
